(Quoc-)Anh Tran

I am a fourth-year PhD student working with Ben Bakker. My broad interest is Algebraic Geometry. More specifically, I'm thinking about how Hodge and twistor structures interact with deformation theory of flat connections, and correspondingly of Higgs bundles.
Here is my CV.

During 2024-2025, I organized a reading group on Kobayashi's Differential Geometry of Complex Vector Bundles and another on moduli of K3 surfaces. I was also a co-organizer for the Graduate Algebraic Geometry Seminar.

Teaching

Current teaching: This Fall 2025, I'm a TA for MATH 160 - Finite Math for Business. My office hour is Tuesday and Thursday 11-12pm at the MSLC.

Past teaching: I did some olympiad training for Vietnamese high schoolers, with two IMO participants and dozens of national medalists.
