(Quoc-)Anh Tran

I am a fifth-year PhD student working with Ben Bakker. I will be on the job market this Fall 2026.

My broad interest is Algebraic Geometry. More specifically, I'm thinking about how Hodge and twistor structures interact with deformation theory of flat connections, and correspondingly of Higgs bundles.

During 2024-2025, I organized a reading group on Kobayashi's Differential Geometry of Complex Vector Bundles and another on moduli of K3 surfaces. I was also a co-organizer for the Graduate Algebraic Geometry Seminar.
